Custom team tracksuits for training, travel and matchday warmup bulk orders

How clubs, schools, academies and distributors can specify custom tracksuits — fabric choice, fit and bulk-order requirements for training, travel and matchday warmup use.

Custom tracksuits serve three genuinely different purposes for a club or school — training, travel presentation, and matchday warmup — and the right specification depends on which of those your order is actually for. A tracksuit built for cold-weather outdoor training and one built for a smart travel-day look are not the same product, even though both are "tracksuits." This guide is for buyers planning a bulk tracksuit order.

Start with the use case

  • Training — needs to handle repeated wear, weather exposure and frequent washing; durability and warmth matter more than a sharp, fitted look
  • Travel and presentation — worn to and from matches or events, where a clean, consistent team appearance matters more than performance features
  • Matchday warmup — worn briefly before a game, prioritising ease of movement and quick removal over sustained warmth

Some clubs need only one of these; larger programmes may need two or three distinct tracksuit specifications within the same season. State which use case (or combination) your order is for before requesting a quote.

Fleece vs. poly-tricot: the main fabric decision

These are the two dominant tracksuit fabric directions, and they suit different priorities:

  • Fleece — brushed on the inside face for warmth, better suited to cold-weather training and general comfort, but heavier and slower to dry if it gets wet
  • Poly-tricot — a smoother, lighter woven or knit polyester, better suited to travel and presentation use where a cleaner, less bulky look matters, and dries faster if caught in rain

Neither is objectively better — match the fabric to your climate, training frequency and primary use case. A club training outdoors through a cold winter has different priorities than one using tracksuits mainly for smart travel-day presentation.

Fit: athletic vs. relaxed

Tracksuit fit has shifted over the past decade toward slimmer, more athletic cuts for team and training wear, though a relaxed fit remains common and is often preferred for pure comfort or older/wider size ranges. Specify which direction you want rather than leaving it to the manufacturer's default — an athletic-cut tracksuit and a relaxed-cut tracksuit from the same fabric can look and fit very differently.

Jacket construction: full-zip vs. quarter-zip vs. pullover

Tracksuit tops are usually full-zip (easiest to remove quickly, e.g. before a match), though quarter-zip and pullover styles are also used, particularly for training-specific tops. Bottoms typically use an elastic or drawcord waistband with straight or tapered leg cuts; confirm ankle cuff style (open hem, elastic cuff or zip cuff) since this affects both fit and how the tracksuit layers over footwear.

Customization: crest, sponsor and coordinated branding

Club or school crest placement, sponsor artwork and any player/staff name or number requirements are confirmed from your written specification before production. A tracksuit order can be planned alongside our winter teamwear range — zip hoodies and quarter-zip training tops — as one coordinated squad programme, so colours and branding stay consistent across the whole cold-weather kit range rather than being approved piece by piece.

What to include in a tracksuit RFQ

  • Primary use case: training, travel/presentation, matchday warmup, or a combination
  • Fabric preference: fleece or poly-tricot, and why (climate, training frequency)
  • Fit: athletic or relaxed
  • Jacket style: full-zip, quarter-zip or pullover
  • Squad size, with quantities split by size
  • Crest, sponsor artwork and any name/number requirements
  • Sample requirement and approval process
  • Destination and required delivery date

What to check on the sample

Check the fabric's warmth and comfort for its intended use — a training tracksuit sample should ideally be worn through an actual outdoor session before bulk approval. Check zip quality and stitching at stress points (pockets, cuffs), and confirm colour accuracy for any sublimated or printed branding under both indoor and outdoor lighting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fleece is brushed for warmth and suits cold-weather training but is heavier and slower to dry. Poly-tricot is smoother, lighter and dries faster, suiting travel and presentation use where a cleaner look matters more than maximum warmth.

Not necessarily — larger programmes often specify different tracksuits for training (durability, warmth) versus travel/presentation (clean, consistent appearance). Smaller clubs may combine both into one specification.

Athletic-cut tracksuits are more common for team and training wear now, but relaxed fit remains preferred by some squads for comfort or wider size ranges. Specify which you want rather than leaving it to a default.

Yes — a tracksuit order can be planned alongside our winter teamwear range as one coordinated squad order, keeping colours and branding consistent.

Full-zip is most common, for easy quick removal before a match. Quarter-zip and pullover styles are also used, particularly for training-specific tops.
